How SchoolRev uses necessary cookies and manages consent for optional public-site analytics.

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files or similar browser/device technologies that help a website work, remember choices, secure sessions or measure use. This policy applies to SchoolRev’s public website and explains the choices available for optional analytics.
2. Categories we use
Strictly necessary
These support core functions such as secure sessions, CSRF protection, load balancing, security and remembering a consent choice. They are necessary to provide requested functionality and cannot be disabled through the banner. Their names, provider, purpose and expiry must be listed here before publication:

Optional analytics
If SchoolRev enables Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Microsoft Clarity or another optional analytics tool, it will load only after the consent approach selected in the platform’s analytics configuration. Before publication, list each enabled provider, identifier, purpose, data categories, retention and transfer safeguards here. Do not state that a tool is used unless it is actually enabled.
3. Your choices
Where consent is required, you can accept or decline optional analytics from the SchoolRev banner and change the choice through clearing your browser’s cookies/local storage or tapping the analytics preference banner on the footer. Declining optional analytics does not prevent use of the public website or SchoolRev service. You can also control cookies in your browser, but blocking necessary cookies may affect sign-in and security features.
4. Data protection
Cookie-derived personal data is handled under our Privacy Notice. We do not place analytics trackers on private school, parent, payment, support or administration areas through the public-site analytics configuration. Providers may process data outside Nigeria; where applicable, we use the safeguards described in our Privacy Notice.
5. Changes
We will update this policy before introducing a new non-essential cookie or material analytics use.
